The Holberg Debate
he Holberg Debate, an annual event organised by the Holberg Prize, owes its name to. Ludvig, Baron Holberg (1684 – 1754), a writer, essayist, philosopher, historian and playwright born in Bergen, Norway. It is inspired by Holberg’s Enlightenment ideas and aims to explore pressing issues of our time.
