Ela Minus y Nick León
¿qué les pasó a mis amigos?
Ella, Latin GRAMMY-nominated Colombian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer known for blending DIY punk ethos with minimalistic, electronic pop lives in New York. Nick León’s dystopian club music samples the sounds of Florida’s diverse ecosystem. But his style has varied fearlessly along the way. Finding his way into the rap world at a young age, he collaborated with some of the biggest underground rappers in South Florida. He also gravitated early towards the Latin sounds coming out of Puerto Rico and Colombia.

Angine de poitrine
Fabienk (Live on KEXP)
Here minimalism turns into what the band calls Dada Pythago-Cubist Mantra-Rock. “Since 2023, the noble brothers Klek and Khn de Poitrine have been crafting a repertoire of cardboard anti-arena instrumental rock that, much like techno music, is built around a dynamic interplay of adding and subtracting sonic motifs in constant metamorphosis. Using his agile toes and an electronic looping module, Khn records and harmonizes multiple layers of melodic ornamentation in real time, constantly switching between microtonal guitar and bass lines that intertwine through angular, chromatic quarter-tone phrases. While his brother, Kleck, behaves with the restraint of a Sherpa.”

Micah Shemaiah
Run Things
Seldom have we needed a good dose of reggae more than now. “Being born into the Twelve Tribes of Israel, Micah Shemaiah is held to a different standard. His name may not ring a bell yet but it will. You may not have heard his songs yet but you will. Mycah Shemaiah will become a staple in reggae music; a standard bearer in the hearts and minds of reggae lovers. His upbringing in Rastafari has laid the foundation for humble yet militant expressions of truth. With a required stipulation to ‘read a chapter a day’ from the bible, Micah Shemaiah is the man who learnt from early to chart and control his own destiny.”
